When you paint 4 paintings in a row that don't deserve to see the light of day let alone the cyber world you go back and post something from when you remembered how to paint. Sigh

I saw these out buildings while on a bike ride with my husband. I couldn't wait to paint the way the light shown on the structures and the back drop of Fall color.
Inspired by the beauty of stained glass I painted this years ago and every year I paint more than one so that they are available at Christmas time.
They are still individually painted making them vary slightly in brushstroke and color, yet they are originally made with love and devotion to this time of year. Contact me if you would like to purchase a 2018 Season rights to print this picture on your Church bulletin or program during Christmas. $50
The sun was setting and everything about this corner just had to be painted. I think my favorite thing (besides the awesome brick building) is that sliver of light 😍, full of mood.
I just wish I had time to stop in for a pint. Maybe next time!

The sunrise was so beautiful this morning. The mottled lavender clouds and the sunlight breaking through over the dried fields. This was one if those lucky moments when the paintbrush seems to go on autopilot and paint from the heart. Does not happen often. After painting intensely all day on some difficult subject matter I started to clean up for the day. My son and husband ran out to pick up a movie and carry out. I knew I didn't have much time but I was in the mood to just paint for fun. Glad I did because this one was fun! My husband ended up running into a friend and and chatted so I had a little more time to finish up.

The last of the Hibiscus for the season. Hope your weekend is relaxing. We are moving a mountain of leaves today so I probably won't be moving much tomorrow. The fresh air will be good though, right?
