Pink Sunset High Texture Palette Knife

Texture for days.  I couldn't believe my eyes, what a glorious pink sunset on the lake.  The warm colors against the cool grays, the Goldenrod and Chickory...what a scene.

Salamonie Sunset.  6x6 inch oil on panel.  Available.  See link in my profile.

Nature's Cathedral

The Autumn leaves look like stained glass windows in a cathedral.   This lovely setting was from Spring Mill State Park in Southern Indiana.

I enjoyed working on a larger 8x10 inch surface.

I am really enjoying the process of simplifying the scene in front of me.  Focusing on color and shape.  Breaking a detailed scene down.  Very exhilarating.

Food trucks in downtown Indianapolis.  A couple years ago my husband and I took the kids to a Comicon because we are cool like that :D  It was actually pretty fun and interesting.   It was an early Spring day and we were thrilled to enjoy a scrumptious lunch from the local food trucks.

Thus bold little painting would be fun on a larger scale.  I will have to revisit this idea soon.

Pumpkin Picking

It's that time of year!  The mornings are cool and crisp.   Afternoons are warm and sunny.  Pumpkin everything, hot cider, flannel shirts and bon fires.  Autumn is delightful.

I focused on painting shapes and how the light created more shapes rather than painting pumpkins :)
