Radio City Music Hall Painting Cityscape Original Art

New York City landmark.  Which city should I paint next?  I am enjoying the change of pace from my usual daily subjects.

This painting was still wet when I photographed it, making it difficult to get a good image.   Especially the dark areas.  They are much richer in person.  Once it is dry I will post a better pic.

Dog days of summer.   Trying to keep my work loose.  Especially after a break from painting.   It's a fine line from too tight and too loose and finding balance.  Argh!!

I really like the backdrop of trees behind the pool.  So pretty.

I was heading home from a school function and stopped in my tracks when I saw the sky.  I took pictures from the parking lot for painting inspiration.   Wish I could have painted right there.  I need to do that one day soon.

I love how the sun caught the setting sun.  The landscape was so soft and muted at twilight.

December is such a whirlwind month and I am always grateful for any time I can carve out for painting.  I put my music on and pick up a brush and everything else fades away.  No wonder I crave painting.

Thanks for stopping by.

A quiet sunny day.  The cows are grazing the late summer grasses.

With such a calming mood of this scene I slowed down and used a more delicate, thoughtful approach to capture the sunlight on their beautiful hides.
