"Sleeping Field" Snow Winter Landscape daily oil painting

"Sleeping Field"

6"x6" oil on primed masonite. This open field at dusk was so quiet and peaceful, yet so alive with the color morphing and swirling as the sun slipped away. A painter's dream or nightmare:)!

Snow Winter Kids Sledding Toboggan Hill original oil painting

My Holiday Special is still running through 2007. I will be spending time with family for the next few days, but I will continue to post some of my winter scenes that have been previously posted. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! 6"x6" oil on primed masonite board.

Virgin Mary Nativity Scene daily oil painting

I have been busy retouching the chipped paint on the nativity figures from our Church. They are all sitting on the table off of my kitchen. One night I walked into the kitchen, the lights were off except the twinkling Christmas lights around a nearby window. Viewing the nativity scene in this warm glow was so beautiful I was inspired to make it a painting.

"Snowy Chapel" This little chapel is not too far from where I live. It is full of charm, especially in a fresh blanket of snow. 6"x6" oil on primed masonite board.

Figures Sledding Toboggan Snow Winter Child daily oil painting

"One More Time"

Hot cocoa anyone?     We bought this great toboggan at the Goodwill last year and just love it. You can fit 5 people on it at once. 6"x6" oil on primed masonite board.

Grand Canyon Trail Arizona daily oil painting

This painting is from our families trip out west this summer. We hiked down into the canyon a couple miles and this view is looking up the side of the canyon. 6"x6" oil on primed masonite board.

Holiday Holly Hollyberries Snow Winter daily oil painting

I am so glad we planted these holly bushes around our house. It is so nice to have some evergreens with bright red berries in the winter. 6x6" oil on primed masonite board.

First Snow Pine Trees Winter Daily Oil Painting

"Snowy Pines" We had our first snow, about 3 inches. The kids had a 2 hour school delay! It was so nice to have a slow morning. After I drove the kids to school, I painted this through my living room window. Although you'd never guess, that, I left out the neighbors garage and numerous other things!
