Strong edges, bold color defined the sunset tonight. It was a joy to paint parts of it. So fun! The shapes and lines reminded me of the hundreds of 2D comps projects from my college days.
Please pardon this awful picture of my painting. I ran out of daylight and the paint is wet. I haven't painted on canvas for such a long time. Really enjoyed it, so different from a smooth panel.
There was so much inspiration on my drive home the other day. I could probably paint for a year on that one sunset and still not do it justice. God is Good!
Wide open spaces in the Midwestern countryside. You can watch the weather change for miles. This day back in July the skies were breezy and the land serene.
Seems like yesterday I painted this. I have a couple new paintings that were meant for this post but my pictures didn't turn out. I will post them on Monday. For now here is a landscape I did from last November.
We saw these birds on our way to a meeting at our son's school. They were all flying together and morphing from one shape to another. First we saw a fish and then a dolphin it was so cool, especially with the beautiful sky behind them.
