Contemporary Abstract Impressionism Autumn Landscape Original Art

Nature's Cathedral

8x10 inch

oil on panel

2019

The Autumn leaves look like stained glass windows in a cathedral.   This lovely setting was from Spring Mill State Park in Southern Indiana.

I enjoyed working on a larger 8x10 inch surface.

Having fun with this calliope of color.  I am sitting this on the mantel with my Halloween decorations until it finds a home.

I think this one would also be fun year round, perhaps in a children's room.

Food trucks in downtown Indianapolis.  A couple years ago my husband and I took the kids to a Comicon because we are cool like that :D  It was actually pretty fun and interesting.   It was an early Spring day and we were thrilled to enjoy a scrumptious lunch from the local food trucks.

Thus bold little painting would be fun on a larger scale.  I will have to revisit this idea soon.

Pumpkin Picking

oil on panel

6x6 inch

It's that time of year!  The mornings are cool and crisp.   Afternoons are warm and sunny.  Pumpkin everything, hot cider, flannel shirts and bon fires.  Autumn is delightful.

I focused on painting shapes and how the light created more shapes rather than painting pumpkins :)
