Back to nature. One of our summer camping trips with the kids. The youngest was able to pilot his own kayak. Where does the time go?!
I took hundreds of pictures right from our kayaks and tubes on Sugar Creek in Southern Indiana. Looking forward to using some for references this winter in the studio.

So if you read my other sunflower post, my husband and I just happened across this beautiful field of sunflowers this week. While taking a zillion pictures I noticed a "house for sale" sign on the corner. I looked down the lane along the field and then back at my husband and said we have got to check this out! We are not house hunting but this was intriguing. We drove down the long winding lane that went into the woods, the anticipation was killing me. We finally approached a sunny opening to a newer, very large home with a wrap around porch. We Googled it and found it sits on 20 acres! How lovely. Out of our price range:) but so fun to think about the sunflower house in the woods. A girl can dream cant she?!

Where I live there are miles and miles of soybean and corn fields. So when my husband and I were driving I caught a glimpse of something that took me a moment to process, Sunflowers! What?! Stop! I told my husband. Of course we had to turn around and take another look. Wow, glorious sunflowers as far as the eye could see. Of course I had to take a million pictures. I plan to go back and see how they change in the cold fall temps as they ready for harvest and of course paint, paint, paint
