Sunflower Field 11x14 Contemporary Art Impressionism Oil Painting Heidi Malott

Sunflower Field 11x14" oil

11x14 inch oil on panel

$400

Where I live there are miles and miles of soybean and corn fields.  So when my husband and I were driving I caught a glimpse of something that took me a moment to process, Sunflowers!  What?!  Stop!  I told my husband.  Of course we had to turn around and take another look.  Wow, glorious sunflowers as far as the eye could see.  Of course I had to take a million pictures.  I plan to go back and see how they change in the cold fall temps as they ready for harvest and of course paint, paint, paint

Abstract Impressionism 8x8 Contemporary Landscape Trees and Farmland

Treeline and Farm Fields

oil on panel

8x8"

$135

What do you do when you run low on your usual 6x6" panels?  Paint on anything that's left in the studio till more arrive in the mail.  This is good for me to paint on a larger scale.

I like this simplified, contemporary impression of the treeline.  So easy to get bogged down in the details.  It is actually more of a challenge most times to simplify a scene.

Farm Life Landscape 9x12 inch Contemporary Landscape Painting Heidi Malott

Harvest Time

9x12"

oil on beveled primed panel

$300

A picturesque farm in Indiana at the end of summer.  I have painted many fields and that much real estate on a canvas or panel can be tricky.  You don't want to bore the viewer with such a large mass.  Lots of squinting to simplify but still have enough detail to keep it from being boring.
