Before our lives changed suddenly with the Covid19 pandemic, I met a friend and we painted while visiting. Such a joy before I knew what the term social distancing even was.

My gallery of art is still open. I am still shipping paintings. In these times there is much concern for personal safety. When you receive mail wear gloves, if possible. Wipe the package down with a sanitizing wipe if possible, or sit it in the sun. Those UV ray's will do their job. You can also let the package sit for a few days. We aren't sick here at my home, but out of an abundance of caution, a virus cannot survive on surfaces after a few days. After these precautions it would be like Christmastime, opening your painting ♡
Coaster art has been floating around the web for a while now. They are coaster size or a bit smaller, 3x3. I would say they are for decorative use but they could be epoxy or varnished to use if you wish.
This is why I never tire of painting. Each one is a journey and even if you paint the same subject matter numerous times they can still take on a life of their own. Once I am inspired to paint scene I go about it with my usual technical aspects of creating a painting but then, as if switching gears, the process of painting seems to move on from the technical side and on to a more creative side that gives the painting a mood or feeling. I know that may sound hokey, but I honestly think that is what inspires me to pick up a brush year after year. Of course some paintings don't turn out well, or I get complete "painter's block" on occasion, but after many years I have learned to enjoy the process or journey whatever the outcome.

I love the warm colors of the sand and the figures against the cool blues of the ocean.
For some reason, probably a mix of human error and digital technology the blues are not as teal as the original painting. If I figure it out I will post a better picture. If you like this, I think you would be more pleased with it in person.
