Pink Sunset High Texture Palette Knife

Texture for days.  I couldn't believe my eyes, what a glorious pink sunset on the lake.  The warm colors against the cool grays, the Goldenrod and Chickory...what a scene.

Salamonie Sunset.  6x6 inch oil on panel.  Available.  See link in my profile.

I painted this at the Fort Wayne Artists Guild POP UP Gallery in Jefferson Pointe.

Hereford Cattle. Summer landscape.  6x6 inch oil on panel.  My favorite part is keeping the shapes of the cows as simple as possible. Just a suggestion with the palette knife. I love how the sun lands on their many planes and affects the color of their hide.

I found this photo from one of the many copyright free websites.  This is a cafe in Italy.  Sometimes I enjoy a break from painting my surroundings and pick something different.  Until I get there someday 😉

It feels so good to paint some warm sunshine in the middle of February.  We haven't had much sunlight this winter.

My daughter suggested I name this painting "Kenny, the long neck chicken" I love it 😂

Boys on adventure.  This creek runs beyond our backyard and it is one of the best places to get the kids to actually go play like actual kids 😄  making mud pies, building dams, finding crawfish, frogs and minnows...
