Winter Sunset 11x14 Landscape Oil Painting

Private collection

11"x14" canvas on Raymar board.  "Country Road at Sunset" I rarely post a painting larger than my daily paintings. After painting this snowy field at sunset a while back, I decided to paint it on a larger scale. The paint is dry and ready for shipment if someone wants this early for the holidays. Canvas on Raymar board.

Night at the Philharmonic 9x12 Painting Orchestra Embassy Theater

"Night at the Phil"

9x12"

oil/primed ready to hang art board

no frame needed

From the same theater I painted a couple days ago.  A lovely evening at the philharmonic.  The dark colors are difficult to capture digitally.  They are much richer and full of warm and cool tones.  They are not flat black.  I don't own a tube of black paint, if you do, throw it away.  You will be much happier with your work if you do, trust me.  Your paintings will be more harmonious and more relate-able to the viewer.  I get my favorite dark tones mixing oranges with blues.  Give it a try.

"Intermission"

9x12"

oil/primed artboard 3/8" thick

ready to hang-no frame needed

My daughter and I enjoyed an enjoyable evening at the philharmonic at Ft. Wayne's Embassy Theatre.  I snapped some shots from the upper level and finally got a chance to work on a painting.  I haven't painted this large in a while and this took me a few days to work out.  I tried to keep it painterly yet readable with all the architectural details.

If you click on the picture you can see the details a bit better.

Contemporary Impressionism Summer Melody 8x10

Summer Melody

8x10 inch

oil on primed art panel

ready to hang/dovetail slot

This painting was inspired by a smaller version I did years ago.  I like the way the brushstrokes create vibration and broken edges in this painting.
