Summer Melody
8x10 inch
oil on primed art panel
ready to hang/dovetail slot
This painting was inspired by a smaller version I did years ago. I like the way the brushstrokes create vibration and broken edges in this painting.

Texas Landscape Ranch near Amarillo Painting Heidi Malott
"Two Little Birds
~
Texas Ranch Landscape"
6"x6" oil on primed artboard.
I have been jumping around on subject matter lately. I like to mix things up so I don't get in a rut. So I enjoy checking out my archives from past trips. Thankfully I was able to plein air paint a lot this fall. The weather is changing quickly though and I have been back in the studio the last week or so due to a very busy toddler, colder weather and my oldest who is recovering from a tonsillectomy. Never a dull moment around here. I hope to do some more Southwest paintings over the next few days. So stop in anytime to see the latest "still wet" paintings.
