Freezing rain one day, snow then followed by 50 + degree days then frigid again has me day dreaming for warmer days. Counting the days for some beach time.
Soaking up through rays. I have a stack of paintings that either never got finished or just weren't showing. My goal is to go through them one by one and either re-work them or paint ivery them. Here is the first of many.
Many spring breakers get one week out of the year to enjoy the ocean beach side. And you better believe it, we will soak up every moment of it to savor till next time.
I love to paint people on the beach. Such a happy event ;)
After a much needed break from a long cold, snowy winter, I am back in the studio feeling refreshed and ready to paint. Too much time has passed since I have posted anything online.
This view is from the beach looking up to the sunset behind the seawall. My camera does not do the yellows justice. In person, they are a warmer yellow orange. Thanks for stopping by. I hope Spring is bringing warmer weather your way!
I could sit on the beach and paint for days on end. Sometimes I get so into my work that I don't pay attention to the surf until it is inches from my easel!
sold "Yellow Bikini" 6"x6" oil on artboard Such a fun piece to paint! I love beach scenes. People are either chilling out or on the move. I try to capture the "essence" of the moment with a little sense of urgency to keep it fresh and lively.
