Looking forward to a lazy day and enjoying the drop in humidity.  Also looking forward to my first full week of work after summer break.  This little landscape will be dry in a few days if you are interested in having it brighten a little spot on your wall :)

Soaking up the last days of summer.  As you can see the texture is so different on the canvas from my usual painting surface in most posts.  I like the texture but still prefer the smoother primed masonite artboard.

Time to get back to work.  The kids are in school and it is time to get back to the easel.  My studio always becomes the catch all room so after sorting, filing etc for 2 hours I gave up and picked up a paint brush.  Feels so good to paint again!

I just realized this painting never got posted, so here it finally is a few months later.

The low light just after sunset changes the colors in the landscape and for such a brief moment.

A commissioned piece by one of the sweetest ladies I have ever met, for a wedding gift recently.  This was such a joy and challenge to paint.  I was thrilled to hear that the Bride and Groom were pleased.

August is almost here!  That means I will be back at my day job full force.  I am missing painting.  The kids will be back in school soon.  2 in college this year and one in elementary!  Summer has been a whirlwind and yet it feels like forever since I have been in the studio.

I have so many ideas and so many pictures that I can't wait to begin.  For now, I would like to post a few of my favorites from 2015.  Somehow I got quite a few painted that summer.  Anyway these are still available.

Hope this post finds you well.  Miss You!
