Garden Entrance Geraniums in the Sun Original Art Heidi Malott Oil Painting

"Garden Entrance"

2018 oil on panel

6x6 inch

So good to be painting.  At night I am even dreaming of mixing paint for new color combinations!  The evening sun is highlighting the geraniums reminding me of the importance when painting to not "highlight" every part of the painting, it is not wallpaper I am trying to create hah!

Figures on the Beach Oil Painting Children Teens Contemporary Impressionism

"Beach Play"
6x6" oil on primed masonite

Figures on the beach.  Running, splashing, sitting, playing.  Always in motion.  I love the challenge of capturing the essence of figures on the beach.

Impressionist Painting Children Beach Boy Child

"Child's Play"
6"x6" oil on primed masonite

A visit to the ocean is always special.  My kids can play all and I mean ALL day in the sand and water.

I enjoyed the softness of this little painting.  Kind of like the sweet little boy, very soft at heart.
