"Threat of Rain"
6"x6" oil on primed masonite. I just love these hot sunny days when billowing clouds roll in. It is so dramatic. You can just feel the tension of a storm brewing. Then, surprisingly a sprinkle in the sunshine and they roll on.

Me too. I look forward every morning to looking at your paintings and they spark something in me to paint directly and soon I will be back to painting every day. Today I got the plyers out and unscrewed some oil tubes and painted over old paintings.
ReplyDeleteHeidi, I just love this one! I love the tall clouds. They look like Florida clouds to me, though I suppose the north has them too - I just didn't notice it as much when I lived up there. Your painting is wonderful and I'm amazed at your diligence with the "daily" part of it. Nice job!
