The rainy city at night reminds me of one of my all time favorite movies, Bladerunner.   The night mist, the fog and all the lights set up an amazing play on the atmosphere.  A very difficult subject to photograph however.  So please note the lights and darks of this painting are much richer in person.

I came across this lovely area while hiking along a pasture that is home to elk and bison at a local conservationist's home.  The late afternoon sun danced on the edges of every blade, my favorite time of day.

Yes, I do plan on painting the elk too ;)
