These young women were very fashionable in the park.   The rich colors of Autumn made a beautiful backdrop to the colors and textures of fall fashion.  This was a very fun piece.  I am happy with the bold colors and lines.  Very contemporary.

"Holiday Sparkle"

Ah, the hustle and bustle of Christmas in the city.  This piece was so much fun.  A study of shapes: positive and negative, brushstrokes, color and reflections.  The paint was still wet when I took this so the dark areas are much darker and richer in the actual painting.  Please note this is a bigger painting than my usual posts.

"City Sidewalks" 8"x8" oil on panel. After the sun went down the sky was still a very royal blue. The perfect backdrop for the holiday lights. This is the first time I have painted on this size, it seems considerably larger than the 6"x6" I am used to in my daily painting. A fun, colorful, contemporary piece.
