A few years ago our city had a model boat exhibition during the Three Rivers Festival. It was held on the beautiful campus of Saint Francis University.
Boats of all kinds from battleships to sail boats. I finally did a painting of this fun day and would like to do more soon.

Gray Barn in the Blaze of Autumn Studio Sale Heidi Malott
sold
Silver Barn
oil on panel 6x6"
2006
Wow! From the archives for sure. I can't believe I posted this a decade ago when I first started my blog. The original picture was blurry so hear is a better image of this fiery little Autumn scene.

Contemporary Impressionism Spring Storm Clouds Landscape Oil Painting
"Spring Storm Clouds"
oil on panel
6x6"
No shortage of dramatic skies this spring. A feast for the eyes for sure. Here the clouds broke in time for the sunset. I try to paint these scenes quickly without second guessing and over working the piece in order to keep it fresh and dramatic.
