Beach Umbrella Impressionism Daily Painting Alla Prima

sold

"A Good Place to Be" 6"x6" oil on primed masonite. Not much time to paint today, so I decided to do an alla prima, meaning "all at once" beach scene. This way of painting is one of my favorites, especially during a fleeting moment on the beach. The colors and brushstrokes are fresh and fun. If you ever get a chance, google Peggi Kroll Roberts. I love her fresh, minimalist style.

  1. Good morning, Heidi. I love your use of minimum strokes, less-is-more style. I just bought PKR's set of lessons which I hope will improve my compositions too.
