Impressionist Sky Landscape at Dusk painting a day

6"x6" oil on primed masonite. I love the transformation of the landscape and sky at dusk. Something that we dont always notice everyday. It is truly magical.

  1. I always wonder if non-painters are as aware of the incredible shows of color in the skies every day. I particularly love the late fall early winter, when a yellow sky is evident.

  2. I hope so Mary. I am always sure to point it out to my kids in hopes that they dont go through their lives as adults too busy to notice. I have my kids using my phrase "look its a painter's sky"
