Happy Birthday Cake Children Impressionism Painting

sold
6"x6" oil on masonite. My daughter recently celebrated a birthday. I like how the candles illuminated the children's faces in the darkness. Of course, I didn't paint this "Kodak moment" live. Enjoy your Sunday!

  1. This is gorgeous! Yummy even. You capture the fleshy youthful glow of their faces very convincingly.

  3. I really appreciate the luminousity having painted a birthday celebrated in the dark outdoors in the wilderness. At home I do not remember to turn the lights out for the birthday cake candles.
