Hereford Cattle. Summer landscape. 6x6 inch oil on panel. My favorite part is keeping the shapes of the cows as simple as possible. Just a suggestion with the palette knife. I love how the sun lands on their many planes and affects the color of their hide.

Plein Air Paint Out Sunset Kekionga

What a fun night! I plein air painted with many artists at the Kekionga Plein Air Paint Out. This is on the Historic Landing, Columbia Street. Downtown Fort Wayne.
This is 1 of 2 I completed this evening.
I forgot my umbrella 🙃 I think I burned my eyes facing the sun, but the back lighting was beautiful.
This painting was sold at the end of the week during the final day of painting.

I had a few moments to paint during my volunteer time during the Kekionga Plein Air Event last week. I had a small view of Freimann Square across the street. I painted this from @artlinkfw it was quiet and peaceful. I was able to complete 2 little watercolors for the wet paint sale on Saturday. They both sold 💕 this one sold to a kind lady named Barb. It was so nice to meet you!

Hello! So good to be back on my blog. It was hacked a while back and I am just now deciding to start posting here again.
I will try to keep up. There are days I feel I only have time to paint and not much time to post here. They may be short but I hope to at least post the day's work.
