Impressionism Contemporary Art Original Oil Painting Landscape

sold
"Truth"
Oil on panel
6x6"

I focused on the light, shapes and the feel of the cold frosty day in the low light.  The fleeting spark of light as the sun slips beyond the horizon gave great contrast to the cool blues and lavenders.

Nice to hear that the groundhog did not see his shadow today and that Spring may be sooner than later.  Have a great night!

I painted this at the beginning of the year.  We have had a very mild winter so far, only one snowfall.  That is okay, winter weather will be here soon enough.  Looking forward to painting the snow.

Twilight Lake Moon Landscape Sunset Painting

sold
"Twilight Lake" The sky seemed so delicate as the last streaks of faded sunlight slipped into the night. All you could hear at this quiet moment was the lake lapping the beach. The moon bobbed on the surface. Then it was time to hike back.
6"x6" oil on primed masonite.

Such a beautiful, wild frontier. I haven't been there since I was a little girl. I have family that live there that I will hopefully visit again someday.

Pines III Outside St. Louis daily oil painting

6"x6" oil on masonite. This is the third in a series I painted this week. It was nice to work with green in an otherwise wintry white wonderland. This painting is available for purchase, by using the "buy now" button at the right. Thanks for stopping by.
