Sunflower Field Oil Painting Original Art Heidi Malott

Standing Tall

oil on panel

2018

6x6 inch

What a thrill to be driving along a country road and come across a field of glorious sunflowers!  I have always been a fan.  I mean we are talking about a flower as tall or taller than most of us :D

Can be a challenge to paint on an itty bitty panel.

"Holiday Shopping"

6x6"

I loved the mood of the wet, gray streets during the Holidays.  An intimate view of people walking along the little shops.

What a happy change of pace.  I found a wonderful resource that other artists are raving about.  Mourgefile.com it is a website with thousands of copyright free images.  People kindly download their images for all to see and freely use.   Now, I don't  want to use these often for I feel it is very important for me to paint what I live and experience for myself.
