A wet in wet alla prima painting. When painting in this style you can't help but remember to put in a brushstroke and wipe your brush often and proceed otherwise you end up with a lot of muddy color and lacking value. This also reminded me to step back often and study my progress. Sometimes it is all too easy to forget that important part of painting.
Everyone is worn out here after one of my sons graduated from high school this past weekend. His party was a success despite intermittent rain showers. I am actually surprised at myself for getting into the studio today.
