Our little community, Waynedale, which is a part of Fort Wayne, has a Memorial Day parade every year. There is always a good turnout. It makes me proud to see everyone come together and wave their flags, as the parade goes by, in remembrance of the brave people who serve, protect and even die for our country.

6"x6" oil on primed masonite. Last Saturday I spent almost 3 hours in the car running my daughter to a Birthday party and my one son to a friend's sleepover. It was such a beautiful day and I just wanted to get home and enjoy what was left of the day. I was in awe by this amazing sky out in the countryside. I have driven these rural roads my whole life. I am a "city" girl but close to the country. I remember as a child riding in the back seat with the air blasting in the open window (ac for those days)and you could see for what seemed forever.
