Durango Silverton Colorado Painting Studio Sale Highlight

"Between Durango and Silverton, CO"
painted Aug. 2007

This little painting is a part of my studio sale (see details, top right)
There were a couple things I recently re-painted on this painting. Originally I had the porch drawn incorrectly and it stood out like a sore thumb. Also the trees needed to overlap the structure better. I think these changes made a big difference and makes a stonger painting, structurally.
6"x6" oil on primed masonite.

Along the San Juan Mountains Colorado - Lake Outside Durango

sold

This is a view from the Durango/Silverton narrow guage railway along the Animas River. It wasn't long we were up in the mountains looking down on the Pondarosa Pines. I am in awe of this breathtaking countryside. 6"x6" oil on primed masonite.
