Fall Foliage Autumn Landscape Original Oil Painting

We have had a dry fall.  This beautiful time of year goes by too quickly.

All that color can be overwhelming when painting fall landscapes.  It is tempting to go overboard trying to capture the amazing hues.  Restraint goes a long way.  If one is standing in front of a painting where every square inch is equally "blaring" in detail and color you risk overload and they move on.  Pick special areas to highlight the beauty and have the rest of the painting subtly support it.  I ran out of time to get a better picture of this I will post another that is not blurry when I get a chance.
