"Silverton Landscape"
6"x6" oil on primed masonite
I will be honest, I get very bored painting the same location or season or anything for too long. Winter is just beginning here in the Midwest, but I am ready to paint something other than the grays. Which explains the beach scenes the last few days. Don't get me wrong, I can find something that pulls me to paint just about anywhere and anytime. I find that if I paint the same thing for too long I get in a rut and start to paint on autopilot. So to shake it up I wanted to paint some scenes from a recent trip to Durango and Silverton, CO.
