Pumpkin Patch Autumn Fall Daily Painting Heidi Malott

"Pumpkin Patch"
6x6" oil on gesso art panel

What a fun day.  Today was field trip day for about 100 kindergartners.  An apple orchard, a pumpkin patch, lunch in the park and a very long bus ride.  Needless to say I am exhausted.  I will retake the picture for this, the paint is still wet and it is to dark out to get a better pic.  Darn, the painting looks so much better in person.  I will try to get a better image so you might want to check back on my blog later.  I am very happy how this turned out.  Not too fussy, not overdone.  Essence of pumpkin .  Goodnight all!

Paris Park Jardin des Tuileries Daily Painting Heidi Malott

sold
"Strolling the Gardens"

I can hardly wrap my brain around the fact that this garden has been around since the 1500's.  I am going to have to do some research on some of the many paintings that have been done at the Tuileries Garden over the centuries.

Morning Fog Landscape Mist Contemporary Impressionism

"Morning Fog Lifts"
6x6" oil on primed panel

Fall weather is setting in.  Even on the warmer days the night temperature dips.  This makes for a foggy mist out on the fields.  I am enjoying painting this time of day.

Sunrise through the Woods Daily Oil Painting Heidi Malott

sold
"Morning Coffee Sunrise"
6x6" oil on gesso artboard

I sipped my coffee at the kitchen sink trying to wake up.  The usual morning ritual.  I was greeted by the sunrise shining gracefully through the woods.  Even though I knew the day ahead would be a hectic one this glorious sunrise humbly reminded me to count my blessings.

Silhouetted Water Tower Sunset Landscape Daily Oil Painting

"Well's County Water Tower"

No matter where you are a sunset is beautiful.  I caught this scene on the way to the Bluffton Street Fair last Friday.
Have a Wonderful Weekend!

Canadian Geese Fly South Landscape

sold
"Signs of Fall"
6x6" oil on gesso panel

The geese heading south in a "v" formation is a sign that summer is almost over.  Another sign, although not so picturesque, is my garden, dried and dead.  I didn't finish this painting till late, so there wasn't enough natural light to get a good picture of this painting.  I may have to re post a better one soon.

Paris Cafe Le Beaujolais Daily Oil Painting Heidi Malott

sold
"Le Beaujolais"
6x6" oil on primed panel

Who doesn't love a Paris cafe?  I enjoyed doing the rich darks and reds here along side the glorious grays.  Wish you could see it in person, the photo does not give the deep colors justice...phooey.
